Quoted as ‘Where Da Vinci meets James Bond,’ Mark Humphrey is an International award winning artist designer, who creates beautiful objects and spaces. He owns and manages Mark Humphrey Ltd – Studio of Art and Design working in 6 sectors: objects, rooms, buildings, scapes, transport and public art.
He is obsessed with painting vibrant innovative sketch ideas (an ever-growing collage diary called ‘Tapestry of Ideas’) and making 3-dimensional maquettes. Mark generates an over-whelming creative output from art, design and inventions, specialising in crafting revolutionary stone masterpieces. Architectural and sculptural, these abstract figurative objects make up his spacial installations.
Mark states, ‘my work is about an expression I call Spacial Objectivism: installations of interactive sculptural objects in spaces for everyday purpose.
Mark works with many of the finest workshops, master craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, specialists, architects, interior designers, engineers, consultants and technicians etc all over the world. Always with his sketch books and colouring pens, he applies his enthusiastic spirit, an exciting energy with a hard work ethic. Whether in the studio, visiting workshops, on site or at client presentations, he is totally committed and passionate about his projects. With his CAD engineer assistants and project managers, he delivers beautiful works, time and time again.
Mark holds the DNA for any given brief and is the conduit for every project. With his lifetime’s experiences and knowledge of the creative process, materials and construction, he has designed and coded, a unique interactive multi-media online ‘Portfolio of Projects’ for his clients. Delivering the concept to completion, via posted downloadable files (from sketches and maquette’s to scaled CGIs, orthographic projections and animation) all communicated under a private login account.
